Sesame Hemp Sea Sprinkle:
- ½ a sheet of nori
- 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds
- 1½ teaspoons umeboshi plum vinegar
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
- ½ teaspoon dulse flakes
- ¼ teaspoon kelp granuals, optional
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut the nori into quarter size pieces. In a frying pan toast the nori over medium flame for about a minute or until it crumbles easily between your fingers. Place the toasted nori in a spice grinder and pulse until fine or powder it with a mortar and pestle. Set aside.
- Place the black and white sesame seeds into the frying pan and toast until just fragrant, 1-2 minutes.
- Turn off heat and add the umeboshi plum vinegar, stirring vigorously so that it distributes evenly. The seeds will briefly clump with the moisture. Stir them in the hot pan until they are dry. Place the toasted seeds, the nori powder and the remaining ingredients into a glass jar with a lid and shake to combine. The sprinkle will last a long time stored in a cool, dry place.
